Uniform

Uniform

It is expected that all students wear school uniform, however this is not compulsory. The school colours are green, black and white. All items of uniform should be clearly name labelled.

 

If you would like to order a uniform through the school please bring in the following form completed to reception or ask at reception for a printed copy.

Alternatively Oaklands School uniforms can be bought directly from Uniform Direct.

The uniform is as follows:

  • Black or grey trousers or skirt

  • Dark green sweatshirt, cardigan or jumper

  • Dark green polo shirt

  • Green and white checked gingham dress

  • Dark green fleece

  • Black or white socks, black or clear tights
  • Hair wear: black, white or green (slides / hair bands etc)
  • Religious head coverings and dress to fit in with other items of school clothing 

 

For PE all students need:

  • White t-shirt
  • Gym bag
  • Black PE shorts or jogging trousers
  • A pair of trainers / plimsolls.

Please Note: PE kits should be kept in school all week and be fully named. 

 

For swimming all students need:

  • Swimming costume/trunks, towel, brush/comb.
  • Swimming hat for children with long hair.
  • Verruca socks if and when needed.
  • Children who are incontinent need to wear special nappies suitable for swimming which are available from Boots, Tesco and other larger stores.

 

Footwear

Black shoes with flat heel or plain black trainers. Boots are not appropriate footwear for inside school.
If it is a wet or cold day and your child needs to wear wellingtons or warm boots to travel to college, please make sure they have normal college shoes to change into.

 

Jewellery

On health and safety grounds we do not allow students to wear jewellery in school (other than 1 pair of stud earrings).
