Oaklands School is a welcoming, growing special needs primary school specialising in working with children with ASD and language & communication difficulties. We are a Good school on the path to become an outstanding school, according to Ofsted, having been re-inspected in January 2018. We have become an Inclusion Quality Mark Centre of Excellence and work closely with the National Autistic SocietyWe have the distinction of being Leicester City’s first NAS accredited school and as such we are committed to high quality continuous professional development for all of our amazing staff. Oaklands staff are highly skilled and friendly, and work closely together to ensure all our children meet their full potential, academically, personally and socially. We have developed three distinctive curriculum pathways to meet the needs of our children and our own assessment system OPAL which enable us to measure and celebrate the small steps of progress our wonderful children make.                  This is an excellent opportunity for a teacher to develop their own teaching skills and knowledge of SEND.

                 We are looking for:

  • A kind, calm, and enthusiastic teacher who will lead a class team of 1 Level 3 Teaching Assistant and 3 Level 2 Teaching Assistants
  • A teacher who is highly organised, flexible and committed to the progress of every child regardless of their starting points or barriers
