Occupational Therapy

Occupational Therapy at Oaklands School

Children’s Therapy Solutions are now providing Occupational Therapy during term time, one day per week, every Thursday.

We provide assessment and intervention for children with sensory difficulties across the whole of the school. Children will need to be referred using the referral form and then they will be assessed as to whether they require direct Occupational Therapy, classroom support or advice embedded in their daily timetable.

Alongside providing direct intervention we support all classes with sensory equipment and adaptations to make the best learning environment possible in order for all the children at Oaklands to thrive.

We provide staff and parent training when required in order to support sensory based intervention, ideas at home and so staff can begin to create sensory based learning within their classrooms.

If you have any questions about Occupational Therapy within Oaklands School then do not hesitate to call the school and leave a message and we will happily get back to you to discuss how we could help.

We will begin by providing direct classroom support and advice within class, if you would not like your child to be assessed within the classroom environment then please contact the school to discuss this further.
